Austin, Texas – Megladon Manufacturing Group, Ltd. announced today the release of a full suite of HLC Test Reference Cable products (TRCs) that are designed to support the growing demand for network test and verification. The new product group includes both singlemode and multimode cable assemblies.
Included in these products is Megladon’s patented HLC (Hardened Lens Contact) technology. The laser process is unique as it produces the only tempered mating surface in the industry – promoting a longer life span for the assembly. The durability aspect is coupled with the extreme optical performance providing quicker verification of the network at the jobsite.
“We have produced private label test reference cables with our HLC technology for years”, stated John M. Culbert, Megladon’s President. “Our customers and their customers have claimed up to 1500 mates. This translates to savings of thousands of dollars on large deployments. This new offering is the same product but under the Megladon brand.”
Each Test Reference Cable product is designed for maximum performance and ships with optical performance data, interferometric data and Fiberchek inspection data. Megladon’s Test Reference Cables can be used with all fiber optic loss test sets.
Megladon Manufacturing Group Ltd., a subsidiary of TyRex Group Ltd., is recognized as a leader in the fiber optic marketplace.
